CARTS 380 : Watercolor Painting II

This is a three-credit hour, six-contact hour course designed to introduce students to materials (paints, brushes, supports), and the various techniques for utilizing those materials (analyzing and mixing color, methods of using water-based media including, watercolor, ink, liquid acrylic to a variety of papers), visual elements (colors, lines, shapes, volumes, textures), and design elements (balance, rhythm, repetition, movement, scale, etc.) through observational studies of the still life, landscape, and figure.
